I was born on the south side of Chicago, the fourth child of eight kids. We moved to Alabama. I met my wife, Debra, and graduated from college with a degree in Communications from the University of Montevallo.

I am beyond blessed to be married to my best friend, Debra, since 2003. Joining us on this adventure are our three amazing kids, Tom, Joe, and Elizabeth. Ask any of them, and they’ll be quick to tell you Watsons do three things love God, stick together, and never give up.

I am convinced that God is head over heels in love with Hartselle and the people of Morgan County, and I believe that He has a fantastic vision for this community. When Debra and I think about that, sometimes we can’t believe the privilege we have to give every day of our lives to see the lives of people in this part of the world changed. I know some may think what impact could a small town in Alabama have on the mission of Christ, but I believe that God can do big things with small towns; look at what came out of Nazareth! Seeing what Jesus has already accomplished through the people at Daystar Hartselle makes me so excited to know the best is yet to come!
